evolve the current business model or reimagine the property into a magical private residence. Write the next chapter of this property's history. The only limit is your imagination.Originally named "Holiday House'' the main lodge was built as a retreat for the Girls Friendly Society. When the girls would visit on "holiday" from Chicago they would travel via one of the many ferries that went from Chicago right to the Glenn Pier located within walking distance from the property. While staying at the lodge the girls would celebrate every holiday of the year during their visit! The Lakehouse was finished in 1914 and housed many classrooms, and the community church. The original Chapel is still in amazing condition and has hosted several wedding ceremonies over the years. After being sold by the Diocese the property then became known as The Sunset Lodge under which it still operates today.
